Scholarships​

Frost honors the tradition of supporting our communities and is proud to partner with foundations and philanthropists to help provide educational opportunities through scholarships for college, qualified technical and trade schools and graduate programs for exceptional students in Texas. ​

​Scholarship applications will be made available each year. For specific information including eligibility requirements, please review each scholarship program below.

*Please note: Frost does not set the application requirements or select scholarship recipients. Frost only serves as the administrator of the program.

Rocco C. Caffarelli Scholarship​

The Rocco C. Caffarelli Scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Rocco C. Caffarelli – a successful entrepreneur whose wholesale grocery business served stores throughout the South Texas region. The scholarship provides educational opportunities for young men residing in Texas with plans to attend a Texas college/university in pursuit of a bachelor's degree. ​

Eligibility (Requirements):

  • Young man residing in Texas
  • Enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student
  • Attending a Texas college, university, or seminary with the intent to major in one of the following fields of study: education, science, religion, business, music, applied arts or sciences
  • Financial assistance need
  • Person of sound mental capacity, good moral character and ideals
  • Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Irene S. Wischer Education Foundation Scholarship​

Established in 2007 by Mrs. Irene S. Wischer, a highly respected San Antonio businesswoman and philanthropist, the Irene S. Wischer Education Foundation Scholarship provides scholarships to exceptional full-time undergraduate students attending a not-for-profit educational institution.

Eligibility (Requirements):

  • Citizen of the United States
  • Resident of Texas for 12 consecutive months prior to application submission
  • Person of good character
  • Per Mrs. Wischer’s instructions, preference given to applicants who are Christians and attend church regularly
  • Demonstration of academic potential and ability (not merely academic performance)
  • Financial assistance need
  • Planned enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a not-for-profit college or university in the fall semester of 2025
  • Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Gus and Ethel Wolters Scholarship​

The Gus and Ethel Wolters Scholarship, in memory of M.E. Wolters and Anna Baumgarten Wolters, was established to be used exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the United States.

Eligibility (Requirements):

  • Citizen of the United States
  • Resident of Lavaca County, Texas
  • Enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student
  • Demonstration of scholastic aptitude, potential and character
  • Graduate of Shiner High School or St. Paul's High School in Shiner, Texas
  • Attend or plan to attend a Texas college or university
  • Intend to major in one of the following fields of study: applied arts, business, religion or science
  • Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Graduating student

W.T. Yett Scholarship​

The W.T. Yett Scholarship was established in 1991 by W.T. Yett, a rancher and businessman who lived in Blanco County. The scholarship benefits deserving graduates from Blanco County high schools needing the financial resources to complete their education.

Eligibility (Requirements):

  • Citizen of the United States
  • Resident of Texas
  • Graduate of a high school in Blanco County or LBJ High School in Johnson City, Texas
  • Demonstration of good character
  • Financial assistance need
  • Display academic potential and ability
  • Plan to attend a Texas college or university
  • Enrollment as a first-time and full-time student (12 hours or more) in the fall semester of 2025
  • Earned a minimum 2.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale​
